1. Define the purpose of the foundation, its official name, and its registered address.
2. Pass a resolution at the founding meeting to establish the organization, elect a director, and draft and sign the governing document (articles of association/charter).
3. Complete state registration.
4. Obtain non-profit status.
5. Open bank account(s).

ARTICLES OF ASSOCIATION OF A CHARITABLE FOUNDATION

One of the most critical stages of foundation registration is drafting the documentation and tailoring the Articles of Association (Charter) to explicitly outline the organization's goals and fields of activity.

The Articles of Association of a charitable foundation must contain:

• The official name of the charitable organization;;
• The goals and fields of charitable activity;
